During our recent van tour around North America’s National Parks last year, my husband and I spent the majority of our time in nature processing many different emotions. We found a peace and stillness in Nature that facilitated closeness with God, and a wisdom that came from that peace, that allowed us to process through many things we felt deeply but did not fully understand. The Spirit of peace became tangible to us as we soaked in Nature and the Presence of God, and learned that peace and gratitude will guard our hearts and minds from anxiety, worry, fear and bitterness. Our mantra in that time became: “Let it make me better not bitter”
Safe guard your mindset by cultivating peace:
Isaiah 11:2 & Philippians 4:7-9
The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD—
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
So keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honorable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always. Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things."
